I think fate brought us together. I was at Ness Gardens last year shooting Victoria & Jay’s pre-wedding shoot, I didn’t notice them watching us but when we sat down for a cuppa and a chat, they came over and apologised for interrupting us. That’s how I met Kat and Jennifer! They had watched me working and decided to find out a bit more about me, not in a stalker way at all though! Haha! Anyway as we talked we discovered a strange coincidence, Vic & Jay were getting married on the 3rd May 2013 while Kat & Jennifer were getting married on the 3rd May 2014 at Ness Gardens!! AND we later discovered that Jenifer had grown up just round the corner from me so when I met her mum and dad on the wedding day we all recognised each other! How strange!!
Anyhoo, fast forward to May this year and the sun was shining on what was promising to be an amazing day! I was super excited to be shooting my first gay wedding and all the challenges having two brides brought with it (two sets of everything, including two aisles at the venue!) Luckily I had an excellent second shooter with me, thank you Rachel!
Ness Gardens is an amazing wedding venue with the majority of the day taking place outside in the sunshine among the beautiful plants and flowers, I was in heaven! The brides walked down their aisles towards each other, smiles beaming, and they timed it perfectly! The service was lovely and the vows straight from the heart. There was a lot of smiling and laughing, a few tears, confetti, ice-cream, balloons, friends and family having a ball and Kat and Jennifer constantly looking at each other and saying “I love you” and “I love you more”!!!
Oh and they finished the day with sparklers!! What a day!! Thank you Mrs & Mrs Taylor, we had an amazing time, lots of love xx
