Last year I did some newborn photography training with the stupidly talented Shellie and Maddy from The Newborn Workshops. We got to see how they handled babies during a session but also how they prepared parents before the shoot and they were also kind enough to share with us some of the little tips and tricks they’ve picked up from photographing babies for many years. The workshop made me realise that newborn photography takes a lot of preparation, patience and skill so I thought I’d better get practising!

My first session after the workshop was with the beautiful Sienna Rose. She was 11 days old at the time and was so well behaved. I just loved her perfect little pout! I learned a lot during this session. Firstly, not all babies will let you put them into certain poses, Sienna didn’t like having her arms brought round so I could rest her head on her hands, and I certainly didn’t force it. Secondly, bending down to sooth and photograph a baby for a couple of hours is a killer on your lower back!

Anyway, less of my moaning, on with the photos!_1771_1772Baby Sienna Rose - Newborn Photography LiverpoolNewborn Photography Liverpool_1776_1777_1778_1774Baby Sienna Rose - Newborn Photography Liverpool_1781Newborn Photography Liverpool

If you would like to book a newborn session please contact me well in advance of your due date so we can get you booked in! Ideally I would like to photograph your bundle of joy between 7-10 days old 🙂
